Evi App Review
Do you want an app that will answer your questions? If you have an iPhone 4S, I recommend Siri. If you don't, I recommend Evi. Evi is for all iOS devices. You can ask questions by typing or talking to her. The voice recognition algorithm is reasonable. For example, a question you can ask Evi is "What is the closest Applebee's restaurant?" This app costs $0.99 on the iTunes App Store. It is a pretty good purchase.

Apple Education Event Overview
Apple had an education event on Thursday. Below I will tell you what they released:
1. iBooks 2 - iBooks 2 is an update to iBooks. It allows iPad users to download textbooks. The books have interactive items. For example, you can get Life on Earth for free. It only gives you 2 chapters because the publisher has only created these so far. There are seven other textbooks currently. You can get the iBooks app for free on the iTunes App Store.
2. iBooks Author - iBooks Author is an application that allows you to create books on your Mac. You can add widgets such as Keynote presentations and Word documents. You can preview your books on your iPad. iBooks Author has a very clean interface. This is available for free in the Mac App Store.
3. iTunes U - iTunes U is an app that allows you to watch courses on your iPad. It tells you what materials you need like The Elements app. You can stream your videos or download them. You can get the app for free on the iTunes App Store.
I recommend it to students.

Acorn App Review
Do you ever want an alternative to PhotoShop? Now you can. Acorn is for Mac computers. You can edit and draw on photos. If you connect a Wacom tablet, you can edit with pressure sensitivity. Like PhotoShop, you can use different brushes. It is useful for editing layers. It costs 50 dollars. You can get it in the Mac App Store. I would highly recommend it if you like PhotoShop, but not for the price.

ClearCaptions App Review
Have you ever wanted your phone conversation in text? Now you can with ClearCaptions. This app is free. After you download it, you'll have to sign up for an account. After that, you just type in your phone number and the phone number of the person you are dialing. Then, you need to tap Call from within the app. It will call you and the person. Just watch for the words to come up. It is a little slow, though.

Review: 15 in. MacBook Pro
Happy New Year! This is my review on the 15 in. MacBook Pro (Late 2011).
The processor details are listed below:
2.2 GHz or 2.4 GHz quad-core Intel Core i7 processor
This computer has a backlit keyboard which I like very much. It also has a glass multitouch trackpad. The MagSafe power adapter attaches sideways keeping the cord away from the keyboard and other connectors. The first port on the side is the MagSafe power adapter port. This is next to an ethernet port, a NEW Thunderbolt port, two USB ports and a Secure Digital Expanded Capacity (SDXC) or SDHC port.
The Thunderbolt port (code-named LightPeak) was developed by Apple and Intel. You can hook up displays, audio and storage devices. It can operate up to 10Gb/s. An example of what you could hook up is a Lacie Little Big Disk Thunderbolt Series. You can daisy chain up to six devices. You can hook Mini DisplayPort devices, too. We are looking forward to the arrival of a Thunderbolt "thumb" drive!!!
